Houston Ballet

Overview

Houston Ballet, led by Julie Kent and Stanton Welch, is looking for women and men with strong classical and contemporary technique for 2027/28. Open audition in Houston on Sunday 28 February 2027, with no pre-registration; dancers who cannot come can email their materials to be considered for an invitation to company class.

• Women and men with strong classical and contemporary technique
• Open audition: Sunday 28 February 2027 at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance (registration 9:00–9:30, class 9:45–11:45, repertory for selected dancers 12:00–1:30)
• No pre-registration; women bring pointe shoes

✉What to send

1. At the open audition: résumé and current headshot (extra dance photos optional)
2. If you cannot attend: email companyauditions@houstonballet.org with a résumé/CV (PDF or Word, with email, height, training and performance experience), a current headshot, a full-body dance photo and a Vimeo or YouTube link with at least two classical variations and one contemporary variation
3. Company class auditions are by invitation only; no phone calls

€Contract & conditions

Guaranteed minimum 43-week AGMA contract per year; more than 80 performances a season.
